NFL Betting Tips 2009/2010 Season Summary

Hey all,

Well the 2009/2010 regular season is finally beyond us. We stopped posting our computer generated NFL picks after week 14, as I just wasn’t happy with the numbers.

There’s no doubt about it, we had a great start to the season, however it all changed around week 9 and we just couldn’t get a winning week. Here were the week by week results:

Week 3: 4-3
Week 4: 2-2
Week 5: 6-5
Week 6: 5-1
Week 7: 3-3
Week 8: 6-1
Week 9: 3-4
Week 10: 5-6
Week 11: 3-4
Week 12: 2-3
Week 13: 1-3
Week 14: 3-7

Overall Record: 43-42.

So we won 50.6% of our games, which actually isn’t that bad a record. If you know sports betting, you should know that there is a lot of variance, and even numbers like 60% are ambitious and you’re most likely giving up some +EV bets or just running hot.

So overall I am happy with the season, however I felt with it being our first public season that it would be best to call it quits at week 14. The last couple of weeks in the NFL are always too tough to bet on anyway, as there are just so many factors. You have teams who don’t care anymore, teams who have qualified for the playoffs and want to rest their players, teams who thrive under the pressure and teams who crack under it. Hell, I know quite a few people who lost a lot of money in the Colts vs Jets game, when Peyton got subbed. They thought the undefeated streak was important to the Colts, when clearly preserving their best players was what they felt was more important.

I want to thank everyone for following my tips this season. I’ll be back next season, and we’ll hopefully have more weeks like week 6 and week 8!

A 1-3 week last week, which really sucked because it looked like 3-1 at half-time. How the Colts/Titans game didn’t go over or the Pats/Dolphins game I don’t know.

After a good start last week going 2-1 in the Thursday games, we lost the Sunday games to take our record to 39-32 for the season.

After a great start to the season, it’s been a bit of a bumpy ride this past few weeks. Let’s hope we can turn it around this week.

Last week was a bit of a rough week, as we went 3-4. Nowhere near as fun as the previous week where we went 6-1. Just one of those blah weeks where it doesn’t work out.

This brings our current record to 29-19, or 60.4% for the season, which I’m obviously happy about. We’ve got an absolute ton of picks this week – actually 11 picks in total, so let’s hope for a nice winning week to keep that percentage up there!

NFL Week 9 Free Betting Tips

Last week was an amazing week, as we managed to get 6 of our 7 picks right, for a 6-1 record. This brings our record for the season to 26-15, or 63.4% which I am very happy about obviously. I’d be elated at just going 55% in our first public season, so to be at 63.4% at this point is quite the bonus.

Of course we have to take the highs with the lows, and I know some people can get irresponsible with gambling at times so I do want to encourage you not to go crazy. Football is a funny game as is sports betting, and we could have quite easily gone 1-6 as we went 6-1. Believe me, it happens. We had a winning NBA season last season, however this was only after a first 3 months where we were winning just 45% of picks.

So just take caution when betting, and don’t go overboard, aight?

Monday Night football has a great game this week, with the high-flying Denver Broncos on the road to the San Diego Chargers.

The Broncos have been defying the odds all season, and go into this game 5-0 after a nailbiting overtime finish against the Patriots last week.
