About Our NFL Computer Betting System

I’ve been a professional sports better for years.  The NFL Computer Betting System is something I initially wrote just to make my life easier – written in C++, it would gather a variety of the data that I would use when placing my bets each week.

Eventually, I decided to try actually simulating the matches based on the statistics and facts that the system provided.  I was skeptical to begin with, however ultimately surprised at the results.  One of the best factors of the bot is that it has no emotional decision making – it is purely based on the facts.

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve made mistakes betting due to emotions, or due to flawed reasoning.  “Because a team is due”.  “Because they’re following their dream”.  “Because it’s Tom F’N Brady!”.  Hell I even broke the bank to bet on the Saints winning the Superbowl after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, thinking it just “felt right”.

Thankfully that’s where the computer system comes in.  It takes all the data, and then takes the spread, and predicts the odds of either team covering the spread using a variety of different algorithms.  It takes a variety of different factors that can affect a game, as well as calculates the scores based on injuries, weather etc.

I’ve been posting the picks on a few select forums over the last few years, and due to each season being a nice winning season, I’ve decided to make the picks live.

Thanks, and good luck this season!
